Takotsubo pourer made from local high iron content clay modelled after traditional pots used for fishing octopus in the seas of Japan. Originally designed to pour Japanese rice wine but could also be used for milk or salad dressing.
This simple clay is fired in a charcoal box in an intense reduction atmosphere to bring out the black shiny properties of the iron oxides found in the clay.
